Color Palette Cinema and Huevies, as the name suggests, are Instagram profiles that take frames from different films and break their colors into Pantone samples. These profiles inspired us to offer inspiring and very visual publications for a good cinematic appreciation.

Today, we will comple the information offered by the two commented pages, with a more detailed and complete color analysis of one film previously analyzed by them which we love, Blade Runner by Denis Vileneuve.

As the pages indicate, the representative color of this scene is orange, a color variation of yellow. Its color psychology shows the stimulus, the discovery; associated to the idea of "liberation". For that reason, it is used in the movie to represent the path, all the clues that the main character (Agent K) follows to find Deckard and his daughter.

In some scenes he uses orange tones to suggest mystery and at the same time danger. It is also used to represent the transformation of the character. In addition, in some scenes like the one shown in the profiles we have mentioned, it is used to represent a place with a more desert-like and polluted appearance, also with the lighting and its shadows it shows sequences where the characters are discovered according to the movement they make. In the scene we are commenting on, an analogous harmony is shown, that is to say, a combination of colors located side by side in the chromatic circle.

We recommend these profiles to appreciate the true art of color and how different films use it to communicate a message.
